Obituary For Alicia Pace Riddle
July 31, 1970 - June 28, 2012


Alicia Dyan Pace Riddle, 41, a resident of Greensboro passed away Thursday, June 28th after a courageous battle with cancer. Born July 31, 1970, Alicia grew up in Eden, NC and graduated from Morehead High School in 1988. She attended Appalachian State University, where she met her husband, Scott, and earned a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Elementary Education. Alicia went on to teach at Douglass Elementary in Eden and Fellowship Day School in Greensboro.

However Alicia's true calling in life was caring for her four beautiful children. Alicia was a natural mother who effortlessly provided a loving, compassionate, and spiritual environment for her family. Outside of the home, she led children's Chapel at Fellowship Day School and was a dedicated volunteer at Caldwell Academy.

She is survived by her husband, Scott Riddle; children, Elizabeth (13), Katherine (11), Benjamin (9), and Charlotte (6) of the home; parents, Joyce & Mike Shaffer of Smith Mountain Lake, VA and Bill & Susan Pace of Eden, NC; grandmother, Elizabeth Fleming Pace of Eden, NC; sister, Michele Pace Benson of Greenville, NC; brother, William Fleming Pace Jr. (Jay) and wife Hagan of Eden, NC; sister, Amanda Shaffer Shelton and husband George of Greensboro, NC; brother, John Tyler Pace and wife Torie of Eden, NC; and brother, Michael Andrew Shaffer and wife Suzanne of Greensboro, NC.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 1st, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Westover Church, 505 Muirs Chapel Rd., Greensboro, NC 27410. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, July 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at Westover Church with Pastor Chris Lewis and Pastor Don Miller officiating. Interment services for the family will be private.
