Obituary For Gladys Sawyers O'Dell April 10, 1919 - April 11, 2012 Gladys Sawyers O'Dell, 93, of Morgan Ford Road in Ridgeway, passed away Wednesday evening, April 11, 2012 at Blue Ridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Martinsville, VA. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, April 15, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in O'Dell Family Cemetery. Mrs. O'Dell was born April 10, 1919 in Rockingham County, NC. She was the daughter of the late Sam and Beatrice Hopkins Sawyers. Mrs. O'Dell attended First Assembly Church of God. She is survived by her three daughters, Glenda Marie Darby and husband, J.T. of Ridgeway, VA, Genean O. Sharon and husband, Bobby of Madison, and Gloria Darlene Andrepont of Beaumont, TX; son, Gene P. O'Dell and wife, Monica of Eden; grandchildren, Deloris Carter, Connie Travis, James Ken Darby, David Dean O'Dell, Renee Barton, Bonnie O'Dell, Gary O'Dell, Debbie Clodfelter, Christe Cook, and Jeffrey Andrepont; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Stratton of Ruffin, Christine Vernon of Reidsville, Lillie Hill Taylor of Eden and Orene Baker of Ruffin; and brother, Bud Sawyers of Reidsville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn F. O'Dell; and sons, Garland and Glenn David O'Dell. The family will receive friends Saturday evening, 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home. Loving thanks is extended to all those that lended support, love and care during Glady's illness.
