Obituary For Russell Hatcher Russell Hatcher, 67, of Edgewood Road, Eden, passed away Monday night, January 16, 2012 at Morehead Memorial Hospital, after a three year battle with Multiple Myeloma. There will be no formal memorial service, however the family will receive friends Thursday evening, January 19, 5 - 7 PM at Fair Funeral Home. Russell was born July 5, 1944 in Draper, NC, son of the late James G. and Mary Reece Hatcher. . He graduated from Morehead High School playing football all four years. He went on to graduate from East Carolina University where he majored in education. He taught school and coached in Braswell, VA. He was a sports enthusiast. Surviving are sister, Frances Paschal of Stoneville ; brother, Wylie Hatcher and wife, Jonni of Deland, FL; nieces, Teresa Latham of Roswell and Julie Zulcosky of FL; three nephews, Jay Paschal of Stoneville, Charles Hatcher and John Hatcher of Florida; and his special friend, Kenny McCollum.
