Obituary For James Gary Barnes, Sr. James "Gary" Barnes, Sr, 55, of 754 Garrett Road in Eden, passed away Monday, September 26, 2011 at his home. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, September 29 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Barnes Family Cemetery on Rhodes Road in Eden. Mr. Barnes was born March 15, 1956 in Rockingham County. He was a former employee of Crawford Plumbing Company and later worked with ACI Construction Company. Surviving is his mother, Helen Barker Barnes of Eden; sons, Johnny Barnes and James G. Barnes, Jr., US Navy; daughter Jessica Barnes of Madison; special friend, Sandra Lynn, of the home; two sisters, Marie Hopkins of Eden and Connie Barnes of Lillington; brothers, Lynn Barnes and Wayne Barnes, both of Eden; and his two canine friends, Ringo and Maximus of the home. Mr. Barnes was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Barnes and infant daughter, Kathy Michelle Barnes.
