Obituary For Evelyn Marie Howard Evelyn Marie Howard of Eden, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning August 2, 2011. Funeral service will be held 10 am Thursday August 4, 2011 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Craig Bowman officiating and burial will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. Evelyn was born in Highland Park, Michigan on February 11, 1921 , to the late Dewey and Margorie Gosch. She was the oldest of four children, Donald Gosch, Helen Wortley (both deceased) and Eunice Eckardt of Lake Odessa, Michigan. Evelyn lived in Michigan all of her life and was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church, Hazel Park, Michigan until moving to Eden, N.C. in 2005 and she then became a member of First Baptist Church of Eden. She is survived by her husband Jonah (Jon) S. Howard, three daughters- Sheila Gordon, Eden Prairie, Minnisota, Janet Lingo, Georgetown, Kentucky, Judy Allmacher (Mike) Romeo, Michigan and two sons, Tim Howard and wife Janice of Houston, Texas, Dr. Kevin Howard and wife Laurie, of Eden, N.C.. She has fourteen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren and all of her brothers and sisters in Christ who have blessed her life with caring and love. Much thanks to Dr. Kenneth Karb, Dr. Paul Sasser and Dr. Kevin Howard for their dedication and care. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8:30 pm at Fair Funeral Home on Wednesday evening.
