Obituary For Samuel Horace "Sammy" Rhodes, Jr. Samuel Horace "Sammy" Rhodes, Jr., 62, of 203 Bryant Street, passed away Tuesday morning, July 26, 2011 at his home. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, July 28, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery in Reidsville. Mr. Rhodes was born May 12, 1949 in Reidsville, NC, son of the late Samuel Horace Rhodes, Sr. and Louise Moore Rhodes. He was a 1968 graduate of Reidsville High School and later attended Rockingham Community College and University of North Carolina. Sammy was an avid golfer and loved Tennessee Walking horses. He was a former salesman for Riddle Oldsmobile in Martinsville, VA. Surviving is his wife of 35 years, Pam Layne Rhodes of the home. The family would like to express special thanks to Linda Walker of Advance Home Care, ADTS (COA), and Bayada Nurses for all their care and support. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
