Obituary For Sally "Estelle" Bateman McDaniel Sally "Estelle" Bateman McDaniel, 97, of 1150 Virginia St. passed away Friday June 24, at Morehead Nursing Center, in Eden. The funeral will be held Monday June 27, 2pm at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. McDaniel was born January 28, 1914 in Spray, NC to the late Charles H. and Nannie Odell Bateman. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church for over 35 years and worked for Fieldcrest Mills where she was a machine operator. Mrs. McDaniel is survived by her daughter and long time care giver Judith M. Smith of Eden, two sons Robert McDaniel and family of Eden and Frank McDaniel and family of Baltimore, MD, grandaughter Karen "Kay" Lawson and husband James, grandson Kenneth Swayze and Fiance Judy Reynolds and many other grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to Morehead Nursing Center and their staff from the East Hall. The visitaion will be held one hour prior to the service from 1 until 2pm, and at other times at the home of Karen "Kay" Lawson, 2600 Ashley Loop Rd. Reidsville, NC.
