Obituary For John "J.D." Davis Washburn John "J.D." Davis Washburn, age 80 of 811 Elm Street , Eden passed away on Sunday evening May 15, 2011 at Morehead Memorial Hospital. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Friends Church with burial to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. J.D. was born January 6, 1931 in Rockingham County. He was a US Army Korean veteran and a member of the American Legion and Immanuel Friends Church. J.D. retired from Fieldcrest Mills with over 42 years of service.Surviving him are wife; Margie Washburn of the home, daughter; Pam Adkins and husband Tony, sister; Francis Thompson, brother in laws; Raeford Boyte and wife Glenn, Elwood Boyte and wife Ruth, Doug Boyte and wife Sandra all of Eden. Family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5-7 pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home.
