Obituary For James Clifton Dalton James Clifton Dalton, 83, of 8017 NC 700 in Ruffin, passed away early Tuesday morning, March 15, 2011 at Morehead Memorial Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 18, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Dalton was born February 3, 1928 in Schoolfield, VA, son of the late Otha and Ruth Dalton. He was a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran. Mr. Dalton retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. Surviving is his wife, Recie Pruitt Dalton of the home; son, Dennis Dalton and wife, Jacqueline of Montrose, Michigan; daughter, Julie Dalton of the home; three grandchildren, Dennae Noblitt and husband, Loren, Dennis Dalton, II, and Mollie Bowman; one great-grandchild, Isabelle Noblitt; and many loving nieces and nephews.
