Clifford Earl Shockley, age 90 of Eden, NC passed away on Wednesday September 15, 2021 at Blue Ridge Therapy and Connection in Stuart, Virginia.

A funeral service will be held 11 am. Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Overlook Cemetery. Full Military Honors will be held by the US Army Honor Guard and the Rockingham County Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Earl was born January 29, 1931 in Patrick County, Va. to the late William Eugene Shockley and Iva Bowman Shockley. He was a US Army Veteran a member of the 5th Regiment during the Korean War and earned a Purple Heart. Earl retired from Fulton Trucking Company.

Surviving are daughter, Lori S. Scott ( Freddie) of Ridgeway, Va.; Chris Shockley (Vicki) and Clifford “Ray” Shockley all of Eden; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death along with his parents, by his wife, Roberta Shockley; son, Kenny Shockley and brothers, Calvin, Coy and Pete Shockley.
