Bettie Rodgers Moore, 91, passed away early Wednesday morning, March 31, 2021, at UNC-Rockingham Rehab & Nursing Care Center in Eden. 

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, April 2nd, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 – 2 PM) at Fair Funeral Home.

Born April 14, 1929 in Leaksville, NC, Bettie was the daughter of the late George Rodgers and Beulah Bryant Rodgers.  She attended Bethlehem United Methodist Church.  Bettie worked for Burlington Industries for 20 years.  She spent the next 11 years employed by American Tobacco Company before retiring.  Bettie loved to do crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sons, John Moore of Reidsville, Sammy Moore of Reidsville, James Moore of Eden and Lewis L. Moore, Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA; 10 grandchildren, Anna Marie Moore, Chris Moore, Juliette Moore, Joey Moore Jamie Moore, Brent Patterson, Misty Patterson, Lee Moore, Jacob Moore and Eli Moore; numerous great-grandchildren; three sisters, Pauline Sheehan, Harriet Smith and Mary Anne Nichols, all of Eden; and her sister-in-law, Juanita Moore of Eden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis L. Moore, Sr. and her brothers, Willie Rodgers and Raymond Rodgers.
