Molly Irene Mangrum Grogan, 91, passed away Wednesday morning, February 10, 2021, at Brian Center Health & Rehab in Yanceyville.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, February 15, at Danview Cemetery in Eden.  She will lie in repose on Saturday from 12 Noon to 4 PM at Fair Funeral Home for those wishing to come by to pay their respects.  The family will be meeting at the home of her niece, Barbara Smith, 710 E. Stadium Drive in Eden.

Born November 3, 1929 in Draper, NC, Irene was the daughter of the late William Mangrum and Emma Hutson Mangrum.  She was a member of Draper Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She is survived by her son, Melvin Grogan of Eden; sister, Libby Blackwell of Roanoke, VA; as well as several nieces and nephews who loved her very much.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, William “Shorty” Grogan; sisters, Maybud Barrow, Ruby Wilson Nellie Hatcher and Dorothy Mangrum; and brothers, James Mangrum, Cabby Mangrum and Johnny Mangrum.
