Curtis Wayne Scott, age 88 of 11829 NC 87 S. Eden, passed away early Wednesday August 12, 2020 at his home.

A graveside service will be held 10 am Saturday at Overlook Cemetery ( Meeks Section)

Curtis will lie-in-state all day Friday, August 14th at Fair Funeral Home for anyone wanting to come by and pay their respect and sign the register.

Mr. Scott was born June 18, 1932 in Patrick County, Va. to the late John Albert Scott and Cora Chaney Scott.  Curtis was an avid NASCAR race enthusiast his entire life. He raced himself and also encouraged and supported his son, Mike by building award winning engines during his drag racing years. Curtis was a professional and dedicated truck driver with Fleet Master and Guilford Mills over the years.

Preceding him in death along with his parents were son, Donnie Scott; brothers, Junior and Vernon Scott; sister, Nan Boyd and grandchild Cody Scott.

Surviving are wife, Geraldine Myers Scott of the home; daughters, Phyllis Scott Williams, Tootie Scott and Renée Scott all of Eden; sons, Steve Scott of Augusta, Ga. and Mike Scott (Patty) of Eden; step-sons, William Ziglar, Tommy Ziglar (Cindy) and Ernie Ziglar all of Sandy Ridge; sisters, Katherine Mize of Stuart, Va., Hazel Hopkins and Pam Scott both of Eden; 5 grandchildren,  Davy Patterson, Chad Scott, Ryan, Matthew and Mallie Ziglar; 5 great grandchildren, Myka, Cyera and Bryson Patterson, Jakeb and Abigail Ziglar.
