Obituary For Christine "Teny" Mary Kingsbury Christine "Teny" Mary Kingsbury, 87, of 215 Bryant Street, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 13, 2010 at her home. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 16 at First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Kingsbury was born March 30, 1922 in Spray, NC (now Eden), daughter of the late Oscar Walter and Susan Evelyn Parker Mills. She was a graduate of Leaksville High School and a lifetime member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. She was a homemaker. Surviving is her grandson, Christopher S. Ramsey of the home; numerous cousins; and special friends, Kim Amburn and Edith Moore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Harry Scott Kingsbury; daughter, Margaret Carol Ramsey; sister, Margaret Mills; and brothers, Oscar and Sherman Mills. Memorial donations may be made to First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, (Flower Fund), 211 N. Oakland Ave., Eden, NC 27288. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 - 2 PM) at First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ.
