Laura “Sue” Knight Hall, formerly of Eden, age 86 passed away peacefully late Sunday evening June 30, 2019 at Four Oakes Nursing Center in Jonesborough, TN. 

A private graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. 

Sue was born on June 22, 1933 in Spray, NC to the late Josiah M. Knight and Tessie Thomas Knight.  She was a Life member of Spray Baptist Church where she served as Teacher & Director of the Sunday School Jr. High Department, member & past Director of Women's Missionary Union and various other committees.  Sue retired from Eden Monument Company and Mountain View Cemetery.  She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Betsy H. Sharrow of Bristol, TN and two grand children, Randolph “Tucker” Sharrow and Lydia Grace Sharrow; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Cletus Gilbert Hall; sister, Betty Knight Cox; and her brothers, Calvin S. Knight, Joseph C. Knight, Harry D. Knight and Carter S. Knight.
