Charles Goy Deans, 64 of 635 Elm Street, passed away at his home Friday evening.

A funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Daryl M. Law officiating.  A private burial will be held at a later date.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (2 – 3 PM) in Fair Funeral Home Chapel and other times at the residence.

Mr. Deans was born on April 24, 1954 to the late Charles and Florence Deans in Baltimore, Maryland.  He served his country proud in the United States Army.  In his working career he was a supervisor for Wal-Mart.  He enjoyed living life to the fullest but most of all he loved his family.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Jo Peet Deans of the home; daughter, Shannon Greenway and husband, Johnny; grandchildren, Tyler Shaffer, Tiffany Easton and Joseph Easton, Jr.; great-grandchild, Kyle Alexander Carey; sisters, Alice McCauley and husband, Buck, Donna Iwanowski and husband, Mark and Annie Steinhouser; brothers, Bobby Deans and Tommy Deans and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by granddaughter, Samantha Peet-Deans and his great-granddaughter, Samantha Shaffer.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fair Funeral Home to help with Mr. Deans’ final expenses.
