Obituary For Edwin Tuttle Jackson, Sr. Edwin Tuttle Jackson, Sr., 72, of 523 Ford Street, passed away Monday afternoon, November 1, 2010 at Morehead Memorial Hospital. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, November 4, at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery on Highway 700 in Pelham. A native of Rockingham County, Mr Jackson was born September 28, 1938, son of the late Wesley F. and Mary Via Jackson. He was a US Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion for 20+ years. Mr. Jackson was a retired barber. Surviving is his wife of 49 years, Brenda Gibson Jackson of the home; sons, E. T. Jackson, Jr. and wife, Deborah of Maggie Valley, NC and Joey Jackson of Eden; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sisters, Doris Moore of Reidsville and Elsie Mae Bolick of Madison. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, 6 - 8 pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
