Obituary For Oliver Jackson Jeffries Sr. Oliver Jackson Jeffries Sr., 89, formley of Harris St. passed away Sunday October 3, 2010 at Morehead Memorial Hospital. Funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Oliver was born in Rockingham County to the late John Henry and Lillie Belle Murphy Jeffries. He was retired from Fieldcrest Mills as a supervisior and was a member of New King Memorial Church, and being a WWII Army veteran. Oliver is survived by his sons; Oliver Jackson Jeffries Jr. and wife Wendy of Ruffin, Ronald Glenn Jeffries and wife Janice of Eden; daughter; Virginia Ann Carter of Eden. Five grandchildren and Seven great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Oliver is preceded in death by his wife Hazel Carter Jeffries. Three sisters and eight brothers.
