Obituary For Leslie "Les" Francis Flynn Mr. Leslie "Les" Francis Flynn, 91, of 107 Moir Street, passed away Wednesday morning August 25, 2010 at Hospice of Rockingham County in Wentworth. A funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Overlook Cemetery. A native of Rockingham County, Mr. Flynn was born June 8, 1919, son of the late Lesley Clinton and Garnet Burgess Flynn. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Corp during World War II and was a retiree of Fieldcrest Mills and a member of Dan River Wesleyan Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Swiney Flynn and daughter, Jovita Dawn Flynn Surviving is his grandaughter, Kathleen Kirkland and husband Rich of Apex, NC , greatgrandchildren Courtney Grace Kirkland, Conner Flynn Kirkland and Nick Drake Kirkland all of Apex, NC The family will receive friends Friday evening at Fair Funeral Home 7-9 pm and other times at his home, 107 Moir Street.
