Obituary For Lucille McAlister Patterson Lucille McAlister Patterson, 81, passed away Thursday evening, July 8, 2010 at Morehead Memorial Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, July 12, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Patterson was born February 4, 1929 in Rockingham County, NC, daughter of the late William Leonard and Mary Durham McAlister Earles. She was a member of Fieldcrest Road Church of God. Surviving are her three daughters, Mary P. Parrish and husband, Ronnie of Eden, Elaine P. Riggs and husband, Roy of Marietta, SC, and Virgie Iralene "Nina" Patterson and fiance, Curtis Merriman of Ridgeway, VA; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Ray Patteson; daughter, Ella Rae Patterson; grandson, David Dix; and great-granddaughter, Jessica Dix. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, 7 - 9 PM at Fair Funeral Home and other times at 54 Villa Road in Ridgeway, VA.
