Obituary For Frances Washburn Thompson May 16, 1922 - July 11, 2013 Frances Washburn Thompson, 91, of Eden, died Thursday evening, July 11, 2013, at Morehead Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, July 15, 2013, at North Spray Christian Church, where she was a lifelong member. Burial will follow in Overlook Cemetery. Mrs. Thompson was born in Rockingham County on May 16, 1922, daughter of Charles Rucker and Nannie De Hart Washburn, both deceased. She was married to Bunyan Lee Thompson, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Harold Thompson, and his wife, Glenda, of Forest, Virginia; a granddaughter, Maria Loos, and her husband, Karl, of Rustburg, Virginia; a grandson, Kevin Thompson, of Richmond, Virginia; two great-granddaughters, Eva and Wesleigh Loos, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Hallie Baker and Hazel McCollum, and brothers Audrey, Wilmer, Bethel (Badge), Andrew (Jack), and John (J.D.)
