Obituary For Cecil Lee Rigney July 14, 1947 - July 11, 2013 Cecil Lee Rigney, 65, of 166 Roberts Road in Eden, passed away Thursday morning, July 11, 2013, at Morehead Memorial Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, July 13, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mr. Rigney was born July 14, 1947 in Pittsylvania County, VA; son of the late Eddie and Roxie Rigney Mayhew. He was a retiree of Fieldcrest Mills. He is survived by his wife, Joan Lester Rigney of the home; sons, Michael Lee Rigney and wife, Lisa of Stoneville and Mark Rigney and wife, Christina of Eden; adopted daughter, Bonnie Rigney of Eden; step-sons, Michael Solomon of Eden and Tony Solomon of New Orleans, LA; step-daughters, Terry Handy and husband, Wayne of Stoneville, Wendy Perry and Tosha Sturgill, both of Eden; three grandchildren, Kendall, Sara and Mattie Rigney; six step-grandchildren, Adrienne Bullins, Christal Martin, Victoria Perry, Brandy Solomon, Joshua Hill and Courtney Hill; sisters, Frances Rigney, Geraldine Goins and husband, Otis and Tressie Pruitt; and brothers, Raleigh Rigney, Lynwood Rigney, Junior Rigney and wife, Myrtle and Jerry Rigney and wife, Sharon. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 - 2 pm) on Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
