Obituary For Foye Earl Bateman October 17, 1935 - July 5, 2013 Foye Earl Bateman, 77 of 351 Beeson Road, Eden, passed away on Friday July 5, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. A funeral service will be held on Monday evening at 7 pm at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with a visitation to be held one hour prior to the service from 6 - 7 pm. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Foye was born October 17, 1935 in Rockingham County to the late Gray and Maydell Huff Bateman. He was a member of Mayfield Baptist Church and was a successful entrepreneur. Preceding him in death along with his parents was his wife, Annette Saunders Bateman; son, Johnny Bateman; brothers, Donald and Thurman Bateman; sisters, Nellie Danaho, Lois Talbott and Peggy Bateman. Surviving are daughter, Angela Tilley of Eden; son, Troy Bateman of Eden; sisters, Helen Hord of Reidsville and Faye Carter of Walnut Cove; grandchildren, Tara Tilley of Eden, and Josh Bateman of Baltimore, MD; great grandchildren, Keylien Tilley of Eden and Tanner Bateman of Baltimore, MD.; numerous neices and nephews.
