Georgia Stowe Hopkins, age 92 of 123 Cheeks Lane, Graham,NC passed away on Friday May 3, 2013 at Home Place Assisted Living in Burlington, NC.
A funeral service will be held 2 pm Monday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden, NC with burial to follow at Reynolds Family Cemetery in Stuart, VA.
Mrs. Hopkins was born October 19, 1920 in the Draper section of Eden to the late George William Stowe and Nannie Mae Hall Stowe. She was of the Primitive Baptist Faith and was a homemaker.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Mallie Hopkins; daughter, Susie Vernon and grandson, Steven Allred.
Surviving are daughters, Betty Harouff of Gibsonville; Linda Riddle and husband Roy of Asheville, Frances Phillips of Edenton; sons, Burton Hopkins and wife Iris, Larry Hopkins and wife Deborah all of Graham; grandchildren, Toni Gilbert, Connie Vernon, James Vernon, Darren Allred and Jerry Duggins; 10 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 til 2 pm on Monday at Fair Funeral Home.

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Georgia's passing. We worked beside each other in Fieldcrest for 28 years and were best friends. I have thought of her a lot . Since she moved from Eden we lost contact with each other. My prayers are with you.
