Georjean Mildred O'Dell, 77, of 698 Ashley Loop in Eden, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013, at her home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, May 1, at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church in Reidsville. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. O'Dell was born January 5, 1936 in Leaksville, NC; daughter of the late George and Ruby Harvey Moorefield. She was a 1954 graduate of Wentworth High School and a member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church. Mrs. O'Dell worked as an x-ray technician for Annie Penn Memorial Hospital as well as Morehead Memorial Hospital, before retiring from Miller Brewing Company.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kathy Carter and husband, James of Eden and Nancy French and husband, Jack of Reidsville; sister, Brenda Curry of Reidsville; five grandchildren, Adam Carter, Clint Carter, Ashley Perkins, Tara Shearer and Jordan French; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack S. O'Dell and 2 brothers Jerry Moorefield and Phillip Moorefield .
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, 7 - 9 PM at Fair Funeral Home and other times at her home.
