I had the privilege of working with Selma for 20+ years as president of Annie Penn. Selma was one of the most compassionate, caring and competent nurses I ever knew. She was so reassuring and so focused on providing excellent patient care. She was very respected by her peers, colleagues, patients and families. She was a tremendous credit to the nursing profession and I will miss her greatly. She was one of a kind. Rest in peace Selma.

If there is anything we can do, please don't hesitate to ask. Our prayers, thoughts and hearts are with you all. Selma and I went to school from First grade at Leaksville Graded through high school. She was one of the kindest, sweetest people i have ever known. Even though our paths in adult life took us to different locations, i have never forgotten her. She is in my heart and now by the side of another dear classmate Karen Hale Sineath. I am very sorry for you.

So sorry for your loss, Selma was such a sweetheart, and a real angel of mercy to those under her care in the ICU at the Annie Penn Hospital. I grew up in Reidsville, my mom was a nurse at Annie Penn, as was another dearly departed friend worked side by side with Selma for years. Heaven is an even sweeter place now with Selma home with Jesus. She was so kind. Sincerely, John Butler

Selma was a dear friend of mine and my family. She was one of the sweetest and kindest friends that I have ever had. She always was trying to help out everyone. We shared a common interest in friends, plants and pets. She will be a missing part of my life, but I know that she will be in a better place. I know God has a place for her in heaven.

Sorry to hear of Selma's Passing. I worked with Selma at Annie Penn Hospital for 25+ years and saw what a kind and dedicated to her patients as well as coworkers. She was always happy to help in any way she could and always had a smile for you no matter the kind of day she was having. Annie Penn lost a most valued employee when she left us. Knowing Selma I know she is probably up in Heaven looking down and smiling on us all because she is in a good place and no longer suffering. Will miss seeing her.
