Catherine Cooper Ussery, age 83 of 521 Moir Street, Eden passed away on Saturday February 16, 2013 at her home. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Wednesday at Spray Baptist Church with burial to follow at Overlook Cemetery. Visitation is to be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Ussery was born September 24, 1929 in the Spray section of Eden to the late Jesse and Irene Nelson Cooper. She was a member of Spray Baptist Church and was a former salesperson for Helig-Meyers Furniture Store.
Catherine is survived by sons, Artie and Michael Ussery of Eden; daughter, Cathy Ussery of Myrtle Beach; sister, Avis Roberts of Reidsville and brother, Corbin Cooper of Penney Farms, Florida; 3 grandchildren and 3 greatgrandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to United Hospice of Wilkesboro, 920 West D. Street, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.
