Wayne was my student in Academically Talented English classes at Morehead High for four years. He was a gentle, kind, caring student who always respected me and worked to his full potential. I did not know him as an adult, but my heart is broken to hear this sad news. Seeing his name in print peels away four decades and takes me back to the best years of my life. What a professional joy and academic challenge I was given to teach students like Wayne and his classmates. He and I became Facebook friends about a year ago. He told me a few details of his health problems and challenges. Throughout the past year we chatted often about the memorable days of our wonderful school connection. My sympathy to his family.

I met Wayne when I transferred to Burton Grove Elementary School in the 6th grade. We rode the school bus together and he was a friend to me from day one. We were students together in Fern Ragan's classes and he was always a truly kind person. I send my thoughts and prayers to his family.

I'll never forget Wayne Andrews. He lived in Price Park and if it was not for Wayne I would have never played football at Morehead. Me, being a 10th grader and Wayne at 12th grader, he picked me up everyday during summer practices so I could get there. Plus, Wayne was the first to get a record player in his car in 1970. Never forget, a great person.....

My heart is broken. Although I have not seen him since 1974, my husband and I remembered and spoke of him often. He was a gentle soul and a kind person, not to mention a good and upbeat friend. He was at State with my husband when I was at Meredith and was a groomsman in our wedding. His loss is truly being mourned in our home. My sympathies to his family.

The passing of your loved one Wayne is one of the most devastating experiences your family can face, and at times, the loss may seem unbearable. Finding ways to express my deepest sympathies to your family is most difficult. However, your faith in the Bible based resurrection hope for Wayne Jesus spoke about at John 11:25. These words of Jesus are comforting to your family knowing that Wayne have a hope in a resurrection. Moreover, the help that God supplies does make a difference, because God can help you to cope with the death of someone you love. The Bible makes this comforting promise: ‚Äö?Ñ??Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves (Psalms 34:18). True, divine help does not eliminate the pain, but it can make it easier to bear. That does not mean that you will no longer cry or will forget your loved one. So, draw close to God during this time of sorrow and sadness.

Marshall and I met 5 years ago and worked together. He was a good and kind friend who endured challenges and heartbrakes that would have crushed lesser men. I enjoyed spending time with he and Betsy and all the kitties! My warmest thoughts to his family in this loss.
