Jerry was like a uncle to me,I seen this man put up a a fight with cancer like nobody I have ever known in my life.He was strong willed man and always in good spirits every time I seen or talked to him, most people would have given up themselves when they got the news that they have cancer but Jerry didn't give up easy.I know Debbie,June,Ruby and all the rest of the family will miss him as we all do.I know Jerry is with the Lord now and I pray that the pain his family feels from losing him will be eased.Jerry told me one time after he came home from the hospital that I'm ready to go be with the Lord when my time comes,so he's just gone to his Heavenly home so hold on to your good memories of him and know we'll see him again one day. Love, Craig Smith

Dear Debbie I'm so sorry for your loss. I wish I could have been there for you but I have had the flu. You and Jerry were a special couple to make the trip to Myrtle Beach to make sure that Danny and I were really getting married. It's odd to play putt-putt right before you get married but we had a blast. Jerry will always be in my heart as will you always. I love you and loved Jerry. We will always have our memories. God bless you and your family. Love Linda
