Bertha Marie Light, 73, of 411 Monroe St. in Eden, passed away Monday morning, December 3, 2012, at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, December 6, at Overlook Cemetery.
Ms. Light was born March 1, 1939 in Ivy, Virginia, daughter of the late Cleveland and Martha Viola Pierce Smith.
She is survived by her two sons, Daniel P. Light and Tammy Bolton of Eden and Joseph C. Light and wife, April of Ruffin; granddaugther, Laura Marie Light; great-grandson, Hayden Light; and three sisters, Sara France of Riverbank, CA, Agnes Bernbridge and husband, John of Roper, NC and Sadie Stalings of Virginia Beach, VA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jennifer Marie Light.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home.

I am the daughter of Charlie Cleveland Smith. I haven't seen Aunt Bertha since my Granddaddy Cleveland Smith died. We connected last year by Face Book and I have truly enjoyed her postings on face book and looked froward to seeing them. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My prayers are with her family.
