Barbara Jean "Bobbi" Brooks of 2923 Wingfield Orchard Drive, Martinsville, VA went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2012.
A celebration of the life of Bobbi will be held 6 pm Thursday, November 8, at Villa Heights Baptist Church with Bonnylee Witt officiating with visitation to follow the service til 8 pm.
Bobbi was born on December 5, 1957, daughter of the late Peter Riley Yeatts and Debra Branch Yeatts, who preceded her in death. She enjoyed reading and writing poems and was a published poem writer. Bobbi was known as a person who enjoyed helping others. Her greatest love was her children and grandchildren of which she gave special pet names.
She leaves to cherish her memory three special daughters, Patricia Wiggington (Best) and husband, Brian of Bassett, VA, Shannon Lynskey (Favorite) of Martinsville, VA, and Tina Hewitt (Baby) and husband, Bryan of Eden, NC; sister, Cindy Freeman (Tinkerbell) of Bassett; and five precious grandchildren, Austin (Audee) Wiggington, Blake (Blake-um) Wiggington, Trace (Boo) Wiggington, Siera (Bucket) Lynskey, and Hannah (Dumplin) Hewitt.
The family will receive friends at the home from 1 - 4 PM on Thursday, November 8, prior to the celebration of life at 6 pm that evening.
Flowers may be sent to Villa Heights Baptist Church.
