I shall always remember Marshall Clark and I hope the good he did for the people of Eden and Rockingham County will be remembered as well. When I was a young law enforcement officer fifty years ago he was an example for me and a mentor who helped me along. Rest in Peace.

To the Clark family, Marshall Clark was the Chief of Eden Police when I started in 1977. He took a chance on me and 33 years later I am still at it. I can hear his voice giving the guidance he gave me as a young officer. I can only hope I made him proud. He was a true professional and leader of a generation of officers. Though he has left us in body, his spirit lives on in every officer still serving. We miss you Chief, you served us well. Hang up your gun and badge, Your patrol is over. Well done, good and faithful serveant, Well done.

To the Family of Marshall Clark. Anna Mae, Lisa and Mike. I will miss him so much, he gave me a Chance in 1972 and I retired in 2002. He was a leader to me until he left. He hired the young generation of Police Officers starting back in 1970-1972 when I was hired. I enjoyed working for him, learning from him, and becoming the Officer I thought he wanted me to be. As we stood around and told the younger officers stories about him. They all stated "I wish I could have served under him". But like everything " e was one for his day", things change but memories do not. I really enjoyed working for him and with him, under him and beside him cause that was just the Man he was. He will always be in my memories and my Heart.
