Claudine Roberts Jones, 93, of 1680 Huntington Trail, Cascade, VA, departed life from this world on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at her home but is now united with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, forever in Heaven.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at the Fair Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wayne Mayberry and Pastor Johnny Dyer officiating. Interment will follow at Jones Family Cemetery on Huntington Trail in Cascade.
Mrs. Jones was born August 23, 1919 in Leaksville, NC (now Eden), one of 11 children of parents, William Alonzo and Emma Coward Roberts. Claudine was a faithful member of Cascade Baptist Church and enjoyed going while her health allowed it. She was also a member of Cascade Homemaker's Club. Claudine was known as a hard worker in the Danville and Eden areas, working as a waitress and also at Dan River and Karastan Mills.
She is survived by her son, John "Johnny" Stanley Jones, Jr. of the home; two grandchildren, Steven Craig Lofgren and wife, Kimberly of The Woodlands, TX and Caryn Sue Froelich and husband, Glen of Elburn, IL; six great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, of 52 years, John Stanley Jones; daughter, Sandra Leigh Jones Lofgren; son, Timothy Blane Jones; and all her siblings.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (10-11 am) at Fair Funeral Home. There will be no visitation at the home, instead a gathering of friends and family will be held at Cascade Baptist Church following the interment.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to The American Alzheimer's Association and Brosville Fire and Rescue Squad. A special thanks from the family to the Commonwealth Home Nursing and Hospice.

Johnny and family, I am very sorry for the lost og your mother. I had met her at Jerry's a couple times and sat down and we ate together in the past and she seemed to be such a loving person.
