Robert Warren "Bob" Randle, 84, of 511 Bridge Street, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Brian Center in Eden. A funeral service will be held 11 AM on Saturday, August 13 at Fellowship Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Randle was born March 19, 1927 in Mississippi, son of the late Joseph W. and Willetta Barrentine Randle. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and Love Thy Neighbor Baptist Church, both in Eden. Bob was a former Merchant Marine and former manager of McDonald's Restaurant in Eden. He married Jean Seligman on August 4, 1951 and they celebrated their 60th anniversary this year. Surviving are his wife, Jean Seligman Randle of the home and daughters, Deborah Lewis and husband, Bob of Eden, Barbara Humphries and husband, James of Fayetteville, and Brenda Summerlin and husband, Todd of Stoneville. His five grandchildren are Amanda Rorrer, Randy Shea, Matthew Humphries, Clint and Ali Summerlin; great-grandchildren are Lydia Rorrer and Michael Shea; and sister-in-law, Mary Ruth Randle of North Wilkesboro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph W. Randle, Jr. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (10 am - 11 am) on Saturday at Fellowship Baptist Church and other times at the residence. I worked for Bob at Mcdonalds around 1977 - Bob was always a very kind, considerate and compassionate Christian man And during the past few years, I had the great honor of holding Bible study & Prayer with Bob while he was at Morehead Nursing Center I saw Bob for the very last time on July 18, during our church out reach Ministry at the Bryan Center and as always, Bob was tickled to see me At the end of the service, we prayed together and said our last good bye I'm truly Thankful to God for the opportunity to have known such a wonderful person and my life is brighter for having known Bob Randle You're all in my prayers and may God continue to bless each of you

Jean and family , sorry to hear about your loss, of Bob , he was a great man,known him for many years went to chuch @ Fellowship Baptist with you all. Bob was one of a kind,remember him from Mcdonalds also, he always spoke to everyone with a kind word.Talked to him at the Brian Center to, as I would come down the hall he would see me , and just wait for me to get to where he was, and he would always ask about the people we knew , always wanted to make sure how everyone was doing , when asked how was Bob doing he would always say just fine , just hear setting here waitting on Jean, and wanted to know if I had seen her on the way into the Brain Center, Just told him she would proably be here in a little while , he said that was great just can't wait to see her ..God has taking another angel home where he is waitting on us , to come be with him ...May God Bless you all !!!We will be praying for Jean and the family.
