Dear Joan and Family, My brother Frank was my hero growing up and I can't say how much I loved him. He took such care of me, mowing extra lawns so I could go to the movie with him, riding me on the cross bar of his bike, saving me one day of each of his leaves from the Navy to spend together...words can't express. It was me who was with him when he was nearly burned to death as a kid, me who ran for my grandfather Bishoff "Daddy-Dad" who rolled him in the dirt to put out the fire...I really want to be there for him but to fly in and be so far away still...Know you will have a houseful and all in all doesn't make sense. I just hope he's with Mom and Dad and Phyl now, and in a much better place even though all of us will miss him always. Shirley

Dear Joan, Me again, sorry, as you read above, all I seem to be thinking of is how I will miss him, but it goes without saying that all of you will too, and, of course, he'll be with his beloved grandchildren, too, but never having known them I sometimes momentarily forget. God bless you all at this saddest of times. Shirley
