Dorothy Dale Evans Keaton, age 94 of 191 Lakecrest Road, Eden NC passed away Friday morning at Morehead Nursing Center. Graveside service will be held 1 pm Monday at Meeks Cemetery. Dorothy was born October 30, 1916 in Leaksville, NC to the late Harden and Lula Owens Evans. She attended Roberts Memorial Baptist Church and retired from Morehead Memorial Hospital Housekeeping Department. She was preceding in death along with her parents , her husband Reid and three sisters and three brothers. Surviving is her brother; Elwood Evans of Madison, daughter; Catherine Matthews of Eden, grandchildren; Douglas Matthews, Jr. of Eden, Rinda M. Loftis and husband Kenny of Reidsville, 4 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held after the service at the cemetery and other times at the home. Dear Aunt Dot, I remember the joy and laughter you gave to me as a young boy;the summer vacations I spent with your wonderful family; you always made me smile. I wanted those times never to end.
