Margaret Ann “Peggy” Young Radford, 89, passed away April 19th at Ancora Compassionate Care in Reidsville, NC

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 23rd at 11:00am in the First Church of the Brethren.  A visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow immediately in the Danview Cemetery.

Peggy was born January 8, 1935 to the late William Aldine Young and Daisy Sims Young in Rockingham County.  She was a member of the First Church of the Brethren since 1959 to present.                        

Peggy’s son, George W. Radford, Jr. (Leanna) and daughter, Lori R. Bailey (Bryant) are left to cherish the memory of Peggy. Her sisters Doris Roberts (W.T.) and Billie Dean Young. Her grandchildren Meghan Radford Rebuli (Christian), Anna Radford (fiancé Mike), Meredith Radford (Kendall), Mark Bailey and Matthew Bailey (Heather) will also cherish her memory and the time that was spent with their grandmother.

Along with her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, G. Wilford Radford, Sr.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to First Church of the Brethren, 730 Church Street, Eden, NC  27288 and/or Ancora Compassionate Care, 2150 NC 85, Reidsville, NC  27320.

Dear Lori, George and all the family, we are so sorry at the loss of your sweet Mama. Always had great laughs with Peggy.  She had the cutest and sweetest smile and I could count on a hug.  I know she will be missed but she fought the good fight.  Love, prayers and sympathy at this difficult time.

She was a very sweet lady 

Such an amazing lady that definitely made this world a better place for 89 wonderful years. She will be missed so very much by all who knew her. Sincerest condolences from the Nelson family to Lori and George as well as their extended families Prayers for strength and courage to carry on, until we're all joined up yonder 

Just learned of Peggy's passing.  Her Sister Doris was my age but we  always included Peggy wherever we went or whatever we did.  I married and left our hometown of Stoneville but tried to see Peggy and all my friends when I came home for visits.  
Due to Covid and age I have not been home in several years.  
We always got together and went out for breakfast or lunch.  I know you will miss Your Mom - but I know you have many, many wonderful memories and good times!! She was SPECIAL!!
