Thomas Henry Jarrell, Jr., 81, of 610 Highland Dr. passed away Saturday evening at Morehead Nursing Center in Eden. The funeral service will be held by Fair Funeral Home Tuesday May 10th, 11am at First Presbyterian Church in Eden, with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Reidsville. Mr. Jarrell was born January 29th, 1930 to the late Thomas Henry Jarrell, Sr. and Kallye Glasgow Jarrell in Leaksville, NC. He retired from E.I. Dupont as a supervisor and also retired from the North Carolina National Guard. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church where he had been an Elder. Thomas Jarrell, Jr. is survived by his wife Virginia Roach Jarrell of the home, two daughters; Jennifer Shafer and husband Billy of Eden, Julie Jarrell of Greensboro, NC, two grandchildren; Sonny Shafer and wife Stephanie , Meredith Rodrigues and husband Danny, four great grandchildren and four stepchildren; Jeni Penn, Brooks Roach and wife Sherri, Dawn Jones, Tracy Cundiff and husband George, and 3 step grandchildren, He was also preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy Andrews Jarrell. The visitation is Monday evening at Fair Funeral Home in Eden, NC from 6 until 8pm and at other times at the home. Mr. Jarrell will be missed so much! I will miss seeing him weekly and having talks about my little dog. Virginia you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
