Rozelle Ayers Benton, 90, formerly of Stadium Drive, passed away Thursday morning at Brian Center in Eden. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 16 at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. Ms. Benton was born April 5, 1919 in Rockingham County, NC, daughter of the late Elisha and Bertha Martin Ayers. She was a dedicated worker, having worked with the Rockingham County School system for almost 20 years. Ms. Benton was a retiree of Fieldcrest Mills. Surviving are her sons, Ray Benton and wife, Judy of Ridgeway, VA, and Sam Benton and wife, Deborah of Eden; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. I worked with Ms.Rozelle at Morehead High School cafeteria back in 1988 she was a sweet lady I truly enjoyed working with her she showed me alot when I first started. I am still working with the cafeteria at Lincoln elementary.I know she will be missed,but at 90 you know she had a wonderful life. God bless to the family. Donna Smith
