Robert "Bob" Melvin Hicks, Jr., 54, 164 Confederate Avenue in Danville, VA, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019, at his home.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Friday evening, 5 - 7 PM, at the Morehead-Fair House, adjacent to Fair Funeral Home on Boone Road in Eden.

Mr. Hicks was born September 24, 1964 in Eden, NC. He was a 1982 graduate of Stoneville High School and attended NC State University and Guilford Technical Community College. Bob was employed by Automation Techniques.

He is survived by his two daughters, Madeline "Maddy" Hicks and fiancé, Clarence "CJ" Wiles, of Waterford, MI and Katherine "Katie" Hicks of Wilmington, NC; his parents, Robert Melvin Hicks, Sr. and Eileen Foley Hicks of Stoneville; brother, Jonathan "Jon" S. Hicks and wife, Wendy, of Sherrill's Ford, NC; nephew and niece, Ethan and Anna Hicks of Sherrill's Ford; brothers in life, Dale Castle, Jacob Patterson and Drew Wright.
