Donald Ray Cox, 57, of 643 Westerly Park Road in Eden, passed away Wednesday night, November 28, 2018, at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, December 2, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Overlook Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 - 2 PM) at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of his sister, Jeri Owen, 646 Westerly Park Road in Eden.

Donald was born March 13, 1961 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Bobby Junior Cox and Onnie Kallam Cox.  He attended Grace Baptist Church.  Donald enjoyed bluegrass music and was an avid sports fan, especially the New York Giants and Duke basketball.

He is survived by his son, Jordan Cox of Eden;  sister, Jeri Owen of Eden;  brother, Billy Cox of Stoneville;  nieces, Brenda Tart, Tracey Tart and Kim Dunn;  and his very special friend, Cindi Shelton.
