Vista Barker Howlett, 79, passed away Wednesday night, October 10, 2018, at Penn Nursing Center in Reidsville.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, October 13, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Danview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home.

Mrs. Howlett was born March 17, 1939 in Leaksville, NC, to the late Leonard Barker and Beatrice Bullins Barker. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church, worked for E. I. DuPont and was a retired childcare provider.

She is survived by her son, Timothy Dewitt Howlett of Eden; daughter, Susan Howlett White and husband, William "Ken" of Boiling Springs ; three grandchildren, Drew Stephens of Charlotte, Kayla White of Charlotte and Aaron White of Raleigh; sister, Betty Martin and husband, Bill of Eden; and brothers, Eddie Barker and wife, Lou Anne of Eden and Phil Barker and wife, Pamela of Eden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dewitt Howlett; brother, Ted Barker; and sister, Shirley Knight.

Memorial contributions may be made to Victory Baptist Church, 2040 E Stadium Dr, Eden, NC 27288.

I am so sorry for your loss!I remember Vista being so sweet and loving to my sister Nancy years ago, and Vista was sick at that time, but she tried not to let Nancy know ! Both of them are in Heaven together now! What a rejoicing that has to be!
