Patsy “Pat” Hale, 84, left our sight in the early morning of September 13, 2018 at Brookdale-Reidsville with her son David by her side. 

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, September 15, 2018 in Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (10 -11am). 

Pat was born on February 9, 1934 in Spray, NC now Eden to the late James David and Pearl Vestal Rorrer.  She worked at Dan River Mills and Fieldcrest Mills and was a member of the Reformed Community Church of Eden.  She enjoyed reading, needlework, gardening, fishing and spending time at the lake.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ellis Hale of Brookdale-Reidsville; her son, David and daughter-in-law, Johnsie Hale of East Bend; her grandson, Hunter Hale of Livermore, CA and her sister, Avis Mangrum of Eden.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Abram Rorrer and William Rorrer, along with her sister, Hazel Jones.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials may be made to the Reformed Community Church of Eden; 1406 E. Meadow Rd., Eden, NC  27288.

The family especially thanks the staff of the Clare Bridge Program at Brookdale-Reidsville for their compassionate care of Pat since September of 2015.

I have known Pat, Ellis and their son David for 57 years. We lived beside them from my childhood. They lived their faith every day of their lives. I always felt welcome in their home. I send my condolences and love to the family. Barbara & David
