Ira Francis Williams, 75, of 224 Calvary Road in Stoneville, passed away Thursday morning, August 16, 2018, at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, August 19, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 - 2 PM) at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Mr. Williams was born January 29, 1943 in Reidsville, NC, to the late Thomas Doc Williams and Lindy Martin Williams. He was a member of Stone-Eden Baptist Church and former Superintendant for Adams Electric Company. Francis loved to fish and if he had a spare moment, you could find him on the lake or helping a friend in need.

He is survived by his daughter, Amber Williams Gibson and husband, Chris, of Summerfield, Lisa Jones and husband, Eddie of Stoneville and Sabrina Manuel of Madison; 2 grandchildren, Brittany Jones Scruggs and Chevie Manuel; four great-grandchildren; and siblings, Jolene Taylor and husband, Doug, Gail Isley and Martin Williams and wife, Linda.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Treva Wray.

It was with a heavy heart when I heard of his passing. Francis was a breath of fresh air during the brief time he was my step-father. I could never thank him enough for being a part of bringing my dear sister Amber into my life! He was a man of his word and very dedicated to those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
