Gail Rutledge Powell, 73, of 175 Royal Court in Reidsville, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at her home.
A memorial service will be held at 7 PM on Friday, August 3, at First Wesleyan Church in Eden.
Gail was born April 25, 1945 in Leaksville, NC, to the late Andrew Martin Rutledge and Lillie Mae Barham Rutledge. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church and loved her church and church family. Gail was an artist and enjoyed painting, singing and playing music, dancing, cooking and doing crafts of all kinds.
She is survived by her husband, Donald W. Powell of the home; son, Andrew Powell and wife, Nicole, of Carolina Beach, NC; grandson, Brooks Powell; and sisters, Dixie Edwards, Elaine James, Carolyn Roberson, and Maxine Hudson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Russell and Frank Rutledge, Linda Gilley and Jean Carter.
