Virleane McDaniel Baynes, 94,  passed away Wednesday morning, June 20, 2018, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

A graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, June 23, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Greensboro.  There will be no formal visitation.

Mrs. Baynes was born February 6, 1924 in Guilford County, NC, to the late James Arthur McDaniel and Myrtle Lovett McDaniel.  She was a retiree of Cone Mills Corportation.  After her retirement, she worked as a receptionist for Triad Health Project in Greensboro.

She is survived by her daughters, Ann White of Eden, Barbara Hand and husband, Donnie, of Eden, and Carolyn Faircloth and husband, Billy, of Browns Summit;  son, James "Jimmy" Baynes of Greensboro;  six grandchildren, Lisa Scearce, Larry Johnson, Keith White, Scott Clubb, and Betty Baynes;  and three great-grandchildren

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Lester Baynes;  grandson, Sidney White;  and her siblings.
