Robert Marshall Walker, 77, of 420 Dishmon Loop in Eden, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, May 10,  at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of his sister, Linda Axsom, 114 S. Rickman Street in Eden.

Mr. Walker was born January 18, 1941 in Eden, NC, to the late Tommy and Mae Massey Walker.  He was a former employee of Goodyear Tire Company and owned and operated Walker's Garage for 30 years.  Robert was also involved with the Eden Rescue Squad.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Reed Walker, of the home;  five children, Cindy Carroll (Keith) of Thomasville, Janet Holt (Mike) of Reidsville, Carolyn Vanderwerf (David) of Stoneville, Debra Parker (Neal) of Reidsville and Kenny Walker (Donnell) of Reidsville;  three step-children, Tammy Johnson (Rick) of Randleman, Angela Taylor of Ruffin and Marie Dunn (Kevin) of Eden;  17 grandchildren;  13 great-grandchildren;  brothers, Ernest Walker (Deloris) and Lawrence "Gary"  Walker, both of Eden;  and sister, Linda Axsom (J. B.) of Eden.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Ralph Walker.

My prayers are with the family and I pray that you remember Robert for the man he was. When Robert was a friend, he was that and more. He would do anything to help you out when needed. He was a good man and now he has received his his reward.

One of my first jobs was working at Draper Gulf with Robert. Robert was. Genius on cars and would give U his last dollar to help you out. My heart goes out to Walker family especially Gary Walker one of my Good friends, God just got another Angel.
