Ms. Barbara Meta Saunders, 66, of 211 Saunders Road in Stoneville, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, April 19, 2018 after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

A funeral service will be held at 4 PM on Monday, April 23, at Providence Baptist Church with burial to follow in Overlook Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday evening, 7 - 9 PM, at  Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Barbara was a member of Providence Baptist Church where she sang in the choir for a number of years.  She was a retiree of Mohawk Industries where she worked for almost 48 years.

She is survived by her daughters, Johnna Gauldin (Heath) of Reidsville, Brandy Herbison of the home, and Jessica Saunders of Eden;  sister, Pamela S. Stanley (Royal) of the home;  and sister-in-law, Julia Saunders of Arlington, TN.  She also leaves behind her grandsons, Zachary Gauldin, Will Beville, PV2 Jacob Gauldin, Matthew Beville and Donnie "Tripp" Weldon Bullins, III;  nieces, Beth Nelson (Allen), Dinah Saunders and Tracy Johnson;  nephews, James Robert Stanley (Monica), and Daniel Saunders.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Luther "Buck" G. Saunders and Nellie Hundley Saunders;  brother, Gordon "Buddy" C. Saunders;  and maternal grandmother, Lizzie Huff Hundley.
