Alice Faye Horsley Mimms, 75, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Avante' Nursing Center in Reidsville.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, March 28th, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 pm to 1:45 PM at Fair Funeral Home before proceeding to the cemetery for the service and other times at the home of her daughter, Rhonda Isley, 133 Scalesville Road in Reidsville.

Mrs. Mimms was born June 12, 1942 in Rockingham County, NC to the late Rufus Leonard Horsley and Mamie Sawyers Horsley.

She is survived by her three daughter, Sheila Kemmerling and husband, Craig of Roanoke, VA, Ronda Isley and husband, Mark of Reidsville, and Tina Mimms of Eden; son, Kenneth Gray of Asheboro; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, James Horsley and wife, Lois, John "J.W." Horsley and wife, Frances and Ronnie Horsley and wife, Patsy, all of Eden; special niece, Mildred Branson; and brother-in-law, Joseph Hill of Eden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Mimms; and sisters, Edith Hill, Mary Hesselton and husband, Donald, and Norma McBryde.

Memorial contributions may be made to Fair Funeral Home, PO Box 337, Eden, NC 27289, to assist with the cost of services. Flowers are welcome and appreciated.

I learned about Alice's death when the prayer request came through the church prayer chain. I am so sorry. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family, especially J. W. and Frannie.
