Faye Dix Rickman, 90 of 405 NC 700 in Eden, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, March 13th  at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 10 am til 10:45 am at Fair Funeral Home prior to proceeding to the cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home at other times. 

Mrs. Rickman was born July 11, 1927 in Spray, NC, to the late Russell Raines Dix and Julia Elizabeth O'dell Dix.  She was a member of Osborne Baptist Church and a retiree of Rockingham County Social Services.  Faye enjoyed painting and playing cards with friends.

She is survived by her son, Stan Rickman and wife, Kathy of Skipwith, VA;  grandson, Joe Rickman of Raleigh;  granddaughter, Lindy Joyce and husband, Chris of Eden;  and three great-grandchildren, Eli, Julie and Zakk.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Able "B.A." Rickman, Jr.;  daughter, Lynn Sumpter; brother, Joe Dix;  and sister, Dell Gray.

Joe, Lindy, & Family, On behalf of Jackie Chandler and the rest of our family, we would like to express the deepest condolences for the loss of this beloved woman. She was a wonderful friend. She and Jackie called each other every day, if nothing else to make sure the other was okay. What a amazing friendship deep rooted in love and caring.
